Description

Discover how to make mouthwatering Honey Sriracha Shrimp with this easy recipe. Learn the perfect balance of sweet and spicy flavors in every bite!

Ingredients

  • – 2 pounds (900 g) peeled and deveined shrimp
  • – 1/3 cup (80 ml) sriracha
  • – 1/3 cup (80 ml) honey
  • – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce
  • – 1 tablespoon (15 ml) rice vinegar
  • – 2 cloves minced garlic
  • – juice of one lime (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour a generous amount of avocado or olive oil into a large frying pan and warm it on medium heat.
  2. Wash the shrimp under running water, then dry them thoroughly. Place the shrimp in the preheated pan and let them cook for approximately 5-6 minutes until they turn opaque, then take them out and put them aside.
  3. In another small bowl, combine the sriracha, honey, rice vinegar, soy sauce, and minced garlic by whisking them together, then pour this mixture into the same pan used for the shrimp.
  4. Let the sauce come to a boil on medium heat, and once boiling, reduce the heat slightly and allow it to continue boiling for 5-10 minutes, stirring from time to time, until the sauce thickens into a glaze.
  5. After the sauce has thickened, lower the heat and return the shrimp to the pan, ensuring they are well-coated with the glaze. Let them simmer on low heat for 5 minutes, then remove from the heat and serve with rice or vegetables.

Notes

  • To add a tangy kick, drizzle lime juice over the shrimp before serving.
  • Ensure shrimp is thoroughly dried before cooking to avoid excess moisture in the pan.
  • Adjust sriracha amount to suit your preferred level of spiciness. Serve over rice or with steamed vegetables.
