Ingredients
- 1 pound cod fillets
- 2 tablespoons liquid honey
- 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Pat the cod fillets dry using paper towels.
- Season both sides with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Combine honey, low-sodium soy sauce, and minced garlic in a small bowl to create the glaze.
- Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Add the seasoned cod fillets to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they develop a golden crust.
- Brush the honey glaze over the top of the fillets once flipped. Allow it to caramelize slightly.
- Remove the cod from the skillet and serve immediately, drizzling any remaining glaze over the top.
