Description

A delightful honey glazed cod dish featuring cod fillets seasoned and cooked to perfection, complemented by a sweet and savory glaze.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound cod fillets
  • 2 tablespoons liquid honey
  • 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Pat the cod fillets dry using paper towels.
  2. Season both sides with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Combine honey, low-sodium soy sauce, and minced garlic in a small bowl to create the glaze.
  4. Heat the extra virgin olive oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  5. Add the seasoned cod fillets to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they develop a golden crust.
  6. Brush the honey glaze over the top of the fillets once flipped. Allow it to caramelize slightly.
  7. Remove the cod from the skillet and serve immediately, drizzling any remaining glaze over the top.
