Description

A quick and flavorful dish combining succulent shrimp with a sweet and savory honey garlic glaze, served over rice or quinoa with fresh broccoli.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups cooked white rice, brown rice, or quinoa
  • 1 cup broccoli florets, steamed or sautéed
  • ¼ cup green onions, finely sliced
  • Optional: sesame seeds or crushed red pepper flakes for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and add the shrimp in a single layer. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until the shrimp turn pink and curl into a ‘C’ shape.
  3. Pour the honey garlic mixture into the skillet and allow it to bubble and thicken for about 2 minutes.
  4. In the meantime, prepare the broccoli by steaming or sautéing until bright green and fork-tender.
  5. To serve, scoop cooked rice or quinoa into bowls, top with glazed shrimp and broccoli, and garnish with green onions and optional toppings.

Notes

Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor. Customize with different vegetables or proteins as desired.
