Description

Delight in quick and satisfying honey garlic shrimp bowls, combining tender shrimp with a sweet-savory glaze, served over rice or quinoa and paired with steamed broccoli.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
  • 2 cups cooked rice or quinoa
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Mix honey, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger to create the sauce.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add shrimp to the pan and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Steam the broccoli until tender in another pot.
  6. Serve the shrimp over cooked rice or quinoa, topped with steamed broccoli and green onions.

Notes

For a thicker sauce, simmer it longer after adding the shrimp. Consider marinating the shrimp for enhanced flavor.
