Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce or tamari (for gluten-free)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups cooked white rice, brown rice, or quinoa
- 1 cup broccoli florets, steamed or sautéed
- ¼ cup green onions, finely sliced
- Optional: sesame seeds or crushed red pepper flakes for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the sauce by whisking together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink.
- Pour the honey garlic mixture into the skillet with the cooked shrimp and let it bubble for about 2 minutes, coating each shrimp.
- Steam or sauté the broccoli florets until bright green and tender.
- Build your bowl by adding rice or quinoa, topping it with honey garlic shrimp, broccoli, and green onions. Garnish with sesame seeds or red pepper flakes if desired.
Notes
For an extra flavor boost, add a splash of lime juice at the end or adjust the honey for desired sweetness. Use fresh ingredients for best results.
