Description

A quick and flavorful dish featuring succulent shrimp and crunchy broccoli in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 cups broccoli (chopped into florets)
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 5 cloves garlic (minced)

Instructions

  1. Combine honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic in a mixing jar and whisk until blended. Set aside.
  2. Place broccoli florets in a bowl, fill it with water, and microwave on full power for about five minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for three minutes or until no longer pink.
  4. Push the shrimp to one side of the skillet and add the broccoli to the other side, cooking them together for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp and broccoli and toss everything together. Bring it to a simmer.
  6. Serve over rice or pasta and garnish with fresh green onions.

Notes

For added flavor, consider roasting the broccoli instead of steaming. Experiment with the ratio of honey and soy sauce to suit your taste.
