- 12 oz. salmon (cut into 2-3 fillet strips)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon warm water
- 1 1/2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 lemon (sliced into wedges)
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to broil.
- Season the salmon with salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
- In a bowl, mix the honey, warm water, apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of salt. Stir until well combined.
- Heat an oven-safe skillet over high heat. Add olive oil to the skillet.
- Carefully place the salmon in the skillet, skin side down, and pan-fry for about one minute.
- Flip the salmon and cook for another minute, then turn it over again so the skin side is down.
- Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté until slightly browned.
- Pour the honey mixture over the salmon and add lemon wedges. Reduce the sauce until sticky, about 2-3 minutes.
- Finally, broil the salmon in the oven for one minute for a slightly charred finish (optional).
- Remove from the oven, top with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, use fresh salmon. Experiment with different vinegars or citrus juices for varied flavors.
