Description

A simple yet flavorful honey garlic salmon recipe that balances sweet and savory, perfect for weeknight dinners or special gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. salmon (cut into 2-3 fillet strips)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon warm water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 lemon (sliced into wedges)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to broil.
  2. Season the salmon with salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  3. In a bowl, mix the honey, warm water, apple cider vinegar, and a pinch of salt. Stir until well combined.
  4. Heat an oven-safe skillet over high heat. Add olive oil to the skillet.
  5. Carefully place the salmon in the skillet, skin side down, and pan-fry for about one minute.
  6. Flip the salmon and cook for another minute, then turn it over again so the skin side is down.
  7. Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté until slightly browned.
  8. Pour the honey mixture over the salmon and add lemon wedges. Reduce the sauce until sticky, about 2-3 minutes.
  9. Finally, broil the salmon in the oven for one minute for a slightly charred finish (optional).
  10. Remove from the oven, top with fresh parsley, and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use fresh salmon. Experiment with different vinegars or citrus juices for varied flavors.
