Description

A simple yet flavorful honey garlic salmon recipe that brings together sweet and savory tastes for an irresistible dish.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, Dijon mustard (if using), lemon juice, and grated ginger (if using) until well combined.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon fillets, skin-side down. Cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Flip the salmon fillets and pour the honey garlic sauce over them. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, spooning the sauce over the salmon occasionally, until cooked through and flaky.
  5. Remove the salmon from the skillet, spoon the remaining sauce over the top, and serve immediately.

Notes

Consider adding crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick. Garnish with fresh herbs for added flavor.
