Description

A flavorful and easy-to-make honey garlic salmon recipe that showcases sweet and tangy flavors, perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz. salmon (cut into 2-3 fillet strips)
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon warm water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 lemon (sliced into wedges)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Season the salmon’s surface with salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper, then let it sit.
  2. Mix honey with warm water, apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice), and a pinch of salt in a bowl.
  3. Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat and add olive oil.
  4. Pan-fry the salmon, skin side down, for about 1 minute, then flip and cook for another minute.
  5. Add minced garlic to the pan, sauté until slightly browned.
  6. Pour in the honey mixture and add lemon wedges, allow to reduce until sticky.
  7. Broil the salmon in the oven for about 1 minute for a slight char.
  8. Top with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Fresh salmon is recommended for the best flavor. Consider marinating in the honey mixture for added depth.
