Description

A vibrant crab pasta salad featuring spiral pasta, imitation crab, fresh vegetables, and creamy ranch dressing, perfect for gatherings or casual dinners.

Ingredients

  • 5 cups spiral pasta (Barilla Rotini)
  • 18 oz imitation crab (chopped into 1/2-inch pieces)
  • 1/2 cup celery (finely diced)
  • 1/2 cup green pepper (finely diced into 1/4-inch pieces)
  • 1/3 cup onion (diced)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (Hellmann’s preferred)
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried dill (crushed)

Instructions

  1. Boil water in a large pot. Add spiral pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and allow to cool.
  2. Chop imitation crab into 1/2-inch pieces. Prepare celery and green pepper by finely dicing them into 1/4-inch pieces. Dice onion and chop fresh parsley.
  3. Combine the cooled pasta, chopped crab, diced celery, green pepper, onion, and parsley in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Mix together mayonnaise, ranch dressing, and dried dill in a separate bowl.
  5. Pour the dressing mixture over the pasta salad and gently toss until all ingredients are well coated.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, let the salad chill before serving and adjust seasonings to taste. Experiment with additional ingredients like black olives or lemon juice for a twist.
