Description

Simple yet elegant pan-seared scallops with a golden crust, garlic, and lemon.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound dry scallops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh herbs (optional), for garnish


Instructions

  1. Pat the scallops dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  3. Once the oil is shimmering, add the scallops to the pan.
  4. Sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. In the last minute of cooking, add butter and garlic to the pan, spooning the melted butter over the scallops.
