Description

A delightful Hawaiian-inspired sushi roll featuring savory caramelized Spam and sticky sushi rice wrapped in nori.

Ingredients

  • 1 can Spam
  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 4 sheets nori (roasted seaweed)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons mirin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • Water

Instructions

  1. Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions.
  2. Slice the Spam and caramelize it in a pan with soy sauce, sugar, mirin, and sesame oil.
  3. Once the Spam is caramelized, place a sushi mat down and wet it.
  4. Layer sticky sushi rice, followed by slices of Spam, and roll it tightly with nori.
  5. Slice into pieces and serve.

Notes

Use a sharp knife when slicing the sushi to maintain clean edges. Keep your hands slightly wet to prevent the rice from sticking.
