Description

Savor the essence of Hawaii with this delicious garlic butter shrimp recipe that transports you to sun-soaked beaches.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs. medium shrimp
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 ½ tsp. paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil (divided)
  • 8 Tbsp. unsalted butter (divided)
  • 6 tsp. minced garlic


Instructions

  1. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil and six tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until it turns brown but does not burn.
  3. Pour the garlic sauce into a bowl to keep it warm.
  4. Toss the shrimp in a mixing bowl with flour, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Return to the skillet, adding the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and two tablespoons of butter.
  6. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook each side for about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Add the garlic sauce back into the skillet with the cooked shrimp and toss everything together.
  8. Serve the shrimp over a bed of white sticky rice.

Notes

For a fresh kick, add a splash of lemon or lime juice just before serving.
