Ingredients
- 1 pound (454 g) sea scallops (450 grams)
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s olive oil (30 milliliters)
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt (5 grams)
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) black pepper (1.5 grams)
- 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s unsalted butter (28 grams)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice (15 milliliters)
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) lemon zest (2 grams)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chopped fresh parsley (4 grams)
Instructions
- Rinse the sea scallops under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- In a bowl, toss the scallops with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Place the scallops on the grill, leaving space between each one.
- Grill the scallops for 2-3 minutes on each side until opaque and slightly charred.
- Remove the scallops from the grill and set aside.
- In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat.
- Stir in the lemon juice and lemon zest into the melted butter.
- Remove the saucepan from heat once the butter mixture is well combined.
