Description

Deliciously grilled octopus marinated in olive oil, lemon, and spices, offering a smoky flavor that’s unforgettable.

Ingredients

  • 1 octopus (about 2-3 pounds)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Clean the octopus and remove the beak and ink sac. Rinse thoroughly.
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the octopus for about 45 minutes to 1 hour until tender.
  3. Remove the octopus from the pot and let it cool slightly.
  4. Cut the tentacles into manageable pieces.
  5. In a bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Marinate the octopus pieces in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  8. Grill the marinated octopus for about 3-4 minutes on each side until charred.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges.

Notes

Ensure your grill is preheated and well-oiled to prevent sticking. Let the octopus marinate to enhance flavor.
