- – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) gochujang paste
- – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce or tamari/shoyu
- – 2 teaspoons (10 ml) sesame oil
- – 2 teaspoons (10 ml) sugar
- – 3 cloves garlic, minced
- – 1 medium carrot, diced
- – 3 cups (720 g) beef, refrigerated or freshly cooked (see notes)*
- – 1 stalk green onion, chopped
- – toasted sesame seeds to garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Begin by mixing the components for the sauce in a container. Blend well and keep aside for future use.
- If the beef has been chilled, use your hands or a utensil to break apart any large chunks before continuing.
- Warm a tablespoon of neutral oil in a non-stick or cast-iron pan on medium-high heat. Once heated, introduce the minced garlic and sauté until aromatic, approximately one minute.
- Then, add the diced carrot and cook for 3-4 minutes until it becomes soft.
- Following that, incorporate the beef into the pan along with the prepared sauce. Stir and fry until the beef is thoroughly heated.
- Take the pan off the heat and mix in the chopped green onion. Serve immediately and enjoy while hot.
