Description

Learn how to make delicious Gochujang fried rice with this easy recipe. Perfect for a quick and flavorful meal anytime!

Ingredients

  • – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) gochujang paste
  • – 2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce or tamari/shoyu
  • – 2 teaspoons (10 ml) sesame oil
  • – 2 teaspoons (10 ml) sugar
  • – 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • – 1 medium carrot, diced
  • – 3 cups (720 g) beef, refrigerated or freshly cooked (see notes)*
  • – 1 stalk green onion, chopped
  • – toasted sesame seeds to garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Begin by mixing the components for the sauce in a container. Blend well and keep aside for future use.
  2. If the beef has been chilled, use your hands or a utensil to break apart any large chunks before continuing.
  3. Warm a tablespoon of neutral oil in a non-stick or cast-iron pan on medium-high heat. Once heated, introduce the minced garlic and sauté until aromatic, approximately one minute.
  4. Then, add the diced carrot and cook for 3-4 minutes until it becomes soft.
  5. Following that, incorporate the beef into the pan along with the prepared sauce. Stir and fry until the beef is thoroughly heated.
  6. Take the pan off the heat and mix in the chopped green onion. Serve immediately and enjoy while hot.
