Description

A flavorful and easy-to-make dish featuring cod fillets glazed with fresh ginger, soy sauce, and honey, baked to perfection.

Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets (6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, and lemon juice.
  3. Place the cod fillets in a shallow dish and pour half the marinade over them. Marinate for 15-30 minutes.
  4. Arrange the marinated fillets on a greased baking sheet and brush them with the remaining marinade.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the fish is flaky and cooked through.
  6. Optionally, toast sesame seeds in a skillet until golden.
  7. Serve the cod garnished with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

For the best flavor, use fresh ginger and consider marinating for longer if time allows.
