Description
A flavorful and easy-to-make dish featuring cod fillets glazed with fresh ginger, soy sauce, and honey, baked to perfection.
Ingredients
- 4 cod fillets (6 oz each)
- 2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, grated ginger, and lemon juice.
- Place the cod fillets in a shallow dish and pour half the marinade over them. Marinate for 15-30 minutes.
- Arrange the marinated fillets on a greased baking sheet and brush them with the remaining marinade.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the fish is flaky and cooked through.
- Optionally, toast sesame seeds in a skillet until golden.
- Serve the cod garnished with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
For the best flavor, use fresh ginger and consider marinating for longer if time allows.
