Description

A flavorful and healthy seafood dish featuring cod with a rich ginger soy glaze.


Ingredients

  • 4 pieces cod fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 1 handful fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 lime, cut into wedges (for serving)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil until well combined.
  3. Place the cod fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the soy ginger glaze evenly over each fillet, making sure they are well coated.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the cod is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Remove from the oven and transfer the cod fillets to serving plates.
  6. Garnish with thinly sliced green onions, sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro.
  7. Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of flavor. Enjoy!

For a more robust taste, marinate the cod in the soy sauce mixture for 30 minutes before baking.
