Description

Ginger soy glazed cod brings together a delightful combination of flavors that highlights the natural sweetness of the fish, making it perfect for any weeknight or dinner party.

Ingredients

  • 4 cod fillets (6 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lime wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil.
  3. Place the cod fillets on the prepared baking sheet and brush the glaze evenly over each fillet.
  4. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the cod is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Transfer the fillets to plates, garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and fresh cilantro.
  6. Serve with lime wedges.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider marinating the fillets in the glaze for an hour before cooking. You can substitute the cod with other firm white fish, adjusting the cooking time based on thickness.
