Description

A vibrant garlic tilapia dish that embodies comfort and joy, featuring fresh ingredients and subtle spices.

Ingredients

  • 4 tilapia filets (approximately 150 g each)
  • 4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon slices for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse and dry tilapia filets thoroughly with paper towels.
  2. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika, if using.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add butter and let it melt.
  4. Add the chopped garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until it turns golden and fragrant. Remove the garlic and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the tilapia filets and cook over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Return the garlic to the pan. Pour fresh lemon juice over the filets and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes for flavors to meld.
  7. Transfer the tilapia to a serving plate, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and garnish with lemon slices if desired.

Notes

Use a fish spatula for flipping tilapia to keep filets intact. Experiment with additional herbs like thyme or dill for a flavor boost.
