Description

Flaky halibut fillets topped with a crunchy garlic Parmesan crust – an easy yet impressive seafood dish perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 4 halibut fillets
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until fully combined.
  3. Place the halibut fillets on a lined baking sheet and brush the tops with olive oil.
  4. Generously press the breadcrumb mixture onto the tops of the halibut fillets.
  5. Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and the crust is golden brown.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving if desired.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer to ensure the fish reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
For added flavor, consider incorporating herbs like thyme or dill into the breadcrumb mixture.
