Sizzling shrimp in a rich garlic sauce with sweet honey and zesty lime juice create a delightful dish perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shelled and deveined shrimp
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon melted unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1.5 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp with cold water. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat a skillet (preferably cast-iron) over medium heat. Add the olive oil and melted butter.
  3. Once the oil is hot, add the minced garlic and sauté until it turns slightly brown.
  4. Stir in the shrimp and cook until they begin to turn pink.
  5. Add the honey, lime juice, salt, and cayenne pepper to the skillet.
  6. Cook until the honey lime sauce thickens, allowing all the flavors to meld.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh shrimp. Serve with jasmine rice or a crisp green salad.
