  • Garlic, 4 cloves, minced
  • Unsalted butter, 1/4 cup (60 ml) (56 grams)
  • Vegetable oil, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (30 milliliters)
  • Lemon juice, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (30 milliliters)
  • Lemon, 1, sliced
  • Fresh parsley, 2 tablespoons (30 ml), chopped (8 grams)
  • Optional: Red pepper flakes, 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) (0.5 grams)


Instructions

  1. Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels.
  2. Season both sides of the fillets with salt and black pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add the tilapia fillets to the skillet.
  5. Cook the fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Remove the fillets from the skillet and set them aside.
  7. In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium-low.
  8. Add unsalted butter and let it melt.
  9. Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 1 minute.
