Ingredients
- Beef fillets, 4 pieces

- Unsalted butter, 1/4 cup (60 ml) (56 grams)
- Vegetable oil, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (30 milliliters)
- Lemon juice, 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (30 milliliters)
- Lemon, 1, sliced
- Fresh parsley, 2 tablespoons (30 ml), chopped (8 grams)
- Optional: Red pepper flakes, 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) (0.5 grams)
Instructions
- Pat the tilapia fillets dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides of the fillets with salt and black pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the tilapia fillets to the skillet.
- Cook the fillets for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the fillets from the skillet and set them aside.
- In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium-low.
- Add unsalted butter and let it melt.
- Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 1 minute.
- Stir in lemon juice and optional red pepper flakes.
- Return the tilapia fillets to the skillet and spoon the garlic butter sauce over them.
- Cook for an additional 2 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Remove the skillet from the heat.
- Garnish the tilapia with fresh parsley and lemon slices.
- Serve immediately.
