Description

A comforting dish featuring succulent shrimp and pasta enveloped in a creamy garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti or pasta of choice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound shrimp, deveined and tails removed
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Stir in red pepper flakes (if using), then pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  5. Add the grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and the sauce thickens.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Toss the cooked spaghetti in the sauce until well coated.
  8. Serve garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

For a richer flavor, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving. If you want a thicker sauce, let the heavy cream simmer longer.
