Description

Delicious garlic butter shrimp, quick to prepare and bursting with flavor, perfect for a seaside-inspired meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons (½ stick) unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil and half the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, ensuring it doesn’t burn.
  3. Increase heat to medium-high and add the shrimp to the pan.
  4. Season the shrimp with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook the shrimp for 2–3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  6. Stir in the remaining butter until melted and well combined.
  7. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley.
  8. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Watch the shrimp carefully to avoid overcooking, which can lead to a rubbery texture. Fresh herbs like cilantro or basil can be added for extra flavor.
