Ingredients
- 1 pound (454 g) shrimp, peeled and deveined (450 grams)
- 2 cups (480 ml) broccoli florets (about 300 grams)
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) unsalted butter (about 42 grams)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil (about 15 milliliters)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice (about 15 milliliters)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chopped fresh parsley (about 4 grams)
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the broccoli florets to the skillet.
- Sauté the broccoli for 4–5 minutes until bright green and tender.
- Remove the broccoli from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the unsalted butter.
- Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic.
- Cook the garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the skillet.
- Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Cook the shrimp for 2–3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
- Return the broccoli to the skillet with the shrimp.
- Drizzle the lemon juice over the shrimp and broccoli.
- Stir gently to combine all ingredients.
- Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the dish.
- Serve hot.
