Description

A simple yet elegant seafood dish featuring succulent sea scallops seared to perfection in a rich garlic butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh sea scallops
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving


Instructions

  1. Pat the scallops dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium-high heat.
  3. Once hot, add the scallops and sear for about 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Add minced garlic to the pan and cook for an additional minute, spooning the garlic butter over the scallops.
  5. Remove from heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

Ensure scallops are completely dry before cooking for better browning. Experiment with herbs for added flavor.
