A quick and delicious oven-baked tilapia recipe featuring a rich garlic butter sauce that captures the essence of coastal cooking.
Ingredients
- 4 tilapia fillets (6 oz each)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.
- Stir in the minced garlic and simmer until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add lemon juice to the garlic butter and mix well.
- Place tilapia fillets in the baking dish, then drizzle half of the garlic butter mixture over them.
- Season the fillets with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Drizzle the remaining garlic butter over the cooked fillets and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
