Ingredients
- 2 lobsters (about 680 grams each)
- 8 sea scallops
- 1 cup (240 ml) (226 grams) beef tallow or vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice (15 milliliters)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chopped fresh parsley (15 grams)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil (15 milliliters)
- 1 lemon, sliced for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the lobsters to the boiling water and cook for 8-10 minutes.
- Remove lobsters and let them cool slightly before splitting them in half lengthwise.
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Add minced garlic to the butter and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
- Brush the garlic butter mixture over the lobster meat.
- Place the lobster halves on a baking sheet, shell side down.
- Bake lobsters in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes.
- While the lobster bakes, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Pat scallops dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- Add scallops to the hot skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Remove scallops from the skillet and set aside.
- Once lobsters are done, remove them from the oven.
- Arrange lobster halves and scallops on a serving platter.
- Drizzle remaining garlic butter over scallops.
- Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the seafood.
- Garnish with lemon slices.
- Serve immediately.
