Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds (680 g) lobster tails (680 grams)
- 1 pound (454 g) sea scallops (450 grams)
- 8 tablespoon (120 ml) s unsalted butter (113 grams)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice (15 milliliters)
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt (5 grams)
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) black pepper (1 gram)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 lemon, sliced for garnish
- Optional : 1/4 teaspoon (1 ml) red pepper flakes (0.5 grams) for added heat
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the lobster tails by cutting the top shell lengthwise with kitchen shears.
- Remove the vein and slightly lift the meat above the shell.
- Pat the lobster tails and scallops dry with paper towels.
- Season the lobster tails and scallops with salt and black pepper.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in lemon juice, and if using, red pepper flakes into the butter mixture.
- Arrange the lobster tails and scallops on a baking sheet.
- Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the lobster and scallops.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until the lobster is opaque and scallops are cooked through.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with lemon slices.
- Serve immediately while warm.
