Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets (6–8 ounces each, skin on or off)
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (plus lemon slices for garnish)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper (or to taste)
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the garlic butter mixture to the pan and allow the butter to melt, infusing it with garlic flavors.
- Once melted, place the salmon fillets in the skillet. They should sizzle on contact.
- Cook for approximately 4-5 minutes on one side until they begin to turn opaque and develop a golden crust.
- Carefully flip the fillets with a spatula and continue cooking for another 3-4 minutes or until desired doneness is reached.
- Drizzle additional garlic butter sauce over the salmon for extra flavor.
- Remove from skillet and serve garnished with fresh parsley and lemon slices.
Notes
Use fresh garlic and lemon juice for the best flavor. Let the salmon rest a few minutes after cooking for optimal moisture.
