Description
A deliciously rich and zesty dish featuring salmon fillets baked with a garlic butter and lemon sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 (6-8 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground, or to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a medium bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on a lined baking sheet. Generously spoon the garlic butter mixture over the fillets, ensuring they are well coated.
- Place the salmon in the oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, until opaque and easily flaked with a fork.
- For a finishing touch, broil the salmon for 1-2 minutes to achieve a golden, slightly crispy top, if desired.
- Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with reserved lemon slices and additional parsley before serving.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor. If short on time, prepare the garlic butter mixture ahead of time.
