Description

A simple yet delicious cod dish bathed in garlic-infused butter, perfect for weeknight dinners or cozy gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh cod fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Stir in lemon juice and remove from heat.
  4. Place cod fillets in the baking dish and pour the garlic butter mixture evenly over them. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For a crispy texture, briefly broil the cod at the end. Fresh ingredients enhance the dish’s flavor.
