Description

Learn how to make delicious garlic air fried scallops with this easy recipe. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside – a perfect seafood dish!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (454 g) scallops (450 grams)
  • 2 tablespoon (30 ml) s olive oil (30 milliliters)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon (5 ml) salt (5 grams)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) black pepper (1 gram)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) lemon juice (15 milliliters)
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chopped fresh parsley (15 grams)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the scallops under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add the scallops to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the mixture.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Place the scallops in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
  6. Air fry the scallops for 6-8 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
  7. Check for doneness; the scallops should be opaque and slightly firm to the touch.
  8. Remove the scallops from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving dish.
  9. Drizzle the lemon juice over the cooked scallops.
  10. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Thoroughly pat dry scallops before coating for a crispy exterior.
  • Enhance flavor with a pinch of red pepper flakes in the olive oil mixture.
  • Cook scallops in batches for even cooking, avoiding overcrowding.
