Description

Delightful homemade fish tacos featuring flaky fish, crunchy toppings, and zesty flavors that transport you to coastal shores.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb white fish (such as cod or tilapia)
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup fish taco sauce
  • 8 small corn or flour tortillas
  • Shredded cabbage
  • Fresh lime wedges
  • Chopped cilantro

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper to create the seasoning mixture.
  2. Dredge each piece of white fish thoroughly in the seasoned flour.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Once the oil is hot, add the dredged fish and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and flaky.
  5. Warm the tortillas in a separate skillet or oven.
  6. Assemble the tacos by placing a piece of fish in each tortilla, topping with shredded cabbage, fish taco sauce, chopped cilantro, and a squeeze of lime.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the fish in lime juice and seasoning for 30 minutes before dredging. Experiment with different toppings to customize your tacos.
