Description

Delightful fish tacos featuring flaky fish, fresh toppings, and a zesty lime finish, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh fish (such as cod or tilapia)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • Lime wedges for serving
  • Sour cream or a creamy sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Rub the fish with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook the fish for about 3-5 minutes per side, until cooked through and flaky.
  4. Warm the corn tortillas in a separate skillet or directly on the grill.
  5. Break the cooked fish into pieces and place it on the tortillas.
  6. Top with shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, and chopped cilantro.
  7. Serve with lime wedges and a drizzle of sour cream or sauce if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, marinate the fish in the seasoning mix for about 30 minutes before cooking. Experiment with different toppings like avocado or jalapeños.
