Description

A luxurious dining experience featuring tender filet mignon paired with succulent shrimp and a rich lobster cream sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 (6-ounce) filet mignon steaks
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped shallots
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 ounces shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 ounces lobster meat, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Season the filet mignon steaks generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Place the steaks in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  4. Transfer the steaks to a plate and cover with foil to keep warm.
  5. In the same skillet, add the shallots and garlic, sautéing for about two minutes until fragrant.
  6. Add the shrimp and lobster, cooking until opaque.
  7. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any brown bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  8. Stir in the heavy cream and fresh thyme leaves, then let the mixture simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  9. Remove from heat and whisk in the unsalted butter until the sauce is velvety.
  10. Spoon the creamy sauce generously over the filet mignon steaks and serve.

Notes

Serve with roasted vegetables or creamy mashed potatoes for a complete meal. Pair with sparkling water or lemonade for a refreshing drink.
