Description

Deliciously spicy jalapeños filled with creamy Cajun shrimp for a flavorful appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked shrimp (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional)
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (optional)
  • 12 large jalapeños (halved and seeds removed)
  • Fresh parsley or green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, shrimp, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt in a bowl. Mix until smooth.
  3. Fill jalapeño halves with the mixture and smooth the tops with a spatula.
  4. Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter, then sprinkle on top of the stuffed jalapeños (optional).
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until bubbly and golden on top.
  6. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or green onions and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the shrimp in Cajun seasoning before mixing. Serve with a cooling dip if desired.
