Ingredients
- 2 pounds (907 g) (900 grams) cod fillets
- 1 pound (454 g) (450 grams) shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound (454 g) (450 grams) clams, cleaned
- 1 pound (454 g) (450 grams) mussels, cleaned and debearded
- 1 pound (454 g) (450 grams) squid, cleaned and sliced into rings
- 1 pound (454 g) (450 grams) scallops
- 1/2 pound (227 g) (225 grams) beef meat
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) (60 milliliters) olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 28 ounces (794 g) (800 grams) canned crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) salt
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams) black pepper
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) (5 grams) dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon (3 ml) (2.5 grams) red pepper flakes
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) (15 grams) fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) (30 milliliters) lemon juice
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and chopped onion. Sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, salt, black pepper, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes.
- Allow the mixture to simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add the cod fillets to the pot and cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the shrimp, clams, mussels, squid, and scallops.
- Cover the pot and cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the clams and mussels open.
- Gently fold in the crab meat and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
- Pour in the lemon juice and stir to combine.
- Transfer the seafood mixture to a large baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, until the seafood is fully cooked.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
- Serve hot with crusty bread or over pasta, if desired.
