Description

Delightful crab bombs featuring fresh crab meat, cream cheese, and cheddar, wrapped in flaky puff pastry.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh crab meat
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 package of puff pastry sheets
  • 1 egg, beaten for egg wash
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the crab meat, cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, green onions, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Mix until well blended.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface and cut them into squares.
  4. Place a spoonful of the crab mixture in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling and pinch to seal.
  6. Arrange the crab bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm as an appetizer or main dish.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a sprinkle of Old Bay seasoning on top before baking.
