Description

A comforting and flavorful fish soup that’s quick to prepare and perfect for busy weeknights or casual family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of fish fillets (cod or tilapia)
  • 4 cups of fish stock or water
  • 1 cup of sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup of chopped vegetables (like carrots and bok choy)
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 inch piece of ginger, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat a little oil over medium heat and sauté the garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  2. Add the mushrooms and vegetables, cooking until they are tender.
  3. Pour in the fish stock or water and bring to a boil.
  4. Add the fish fillets and cook until they are opaque and flaky, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Stir in the soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For deeper flavor, let the soup simmer for an additional 15-20 minutes after adding the fish. Incorporating seasonal vegetables can add freshness and variety.
