Description

Master the art of cooking lobster tails at home with these easy and delicious recipes for a restaurant-quality experience.

Ingredients

  • 4 cold-water lobster tails (6-8 oz each)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 fresh lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Thaw frozen lobster tails completely in the refrigerator for 24 hours or quick-thaw in cold water for 45-60 minutes. Pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Cut using kitchen shears, cut down the center of the shell’s top, stopping at the tail fin. Gently pry the shell apart and lift the meat, keeping it attached at the base.
  3. Season melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Brush the mixture over exposed lobster meat.
  4. Choose your cooking method: Boiling (4-6 minutes), Steaming (5-8 minutes), Grilling (8-10 minutes), Broiling (6-8 minutes), Baking (12-15 minutes at 425°F), Air Fryer (5-7 minutes at 380°F).
  5. Check until the meat is opaque white with slight translucency in the center. The internal temperature should reach 140°F.
  6. Serve immediately with remaining butter mixture and lemon wedges, garnished with fresh parsley.

Notes

Use a meat thermometer for accurate cooking and consider adding chili flakes to the butter mixture for added flavor.
