Description

A simple yet sophisticated dish of cod fillets baked in a luscious lemon butter sauce, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • Cod fillets
  • Unsalted butter
  • Fresh lemon juice
  • Lemon zest
  • Fresh garlic
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Chopped parsley for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking dish by greasing it lightly.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant but not browned, approximately 1-2 minutes.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and add fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
  4. Place the cod fillets in the greased baking dish. Pour the lemon butter mixture evenly over the fillets.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Once done, remove from the oven and sprinkle fresh parsley for garnish.

Notes

Don’t overcook the fish and use fresh ingredients for best results.
