Ingredients
- 1 pound (454 g) squid, cleaned and sliced (450 grams)
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) vegetable oil (30 milliliters)
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons (30 ml) soy sauce (30 milliliters)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) chili paste (15 grams)
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sugar (12 grams)
- 1 teaspoon (5 ml) sesame oil (5 milliliters)
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) sesame seeds (9 grams)
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced onion and bell pepper to the pan.
- Stir-fry the vegetables for 2-3 minutes until they start to soften.
- Push the vegetables to one side of the pan.
- Add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil to the empty side of the pan.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the sliced squid to the pan with the garlic.
- Stir-fry the squid for 2-3 minutes until it turns opaque.
- In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, gochujang, and sugar.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the squid and vegetables.
- Stir well to coat everything evenly with the sauce.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Drizzle sesame oil over the stir-fry and mix well.
- Remove the pan from heat and garnish with chopped green onions.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top before serving.
