Description

A simple and satisfying garlic butter shrimp and broccoli dish that embodies coastal dining with rich flavors and quick preparation.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Lemon juice (optional)
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and opaque.
  4. Add the broccoli florets to the skillet and stir to combine, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is tender but still crisp.
  5. Drizzle with lemon juice if using, and serve immediately.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh, wild-caught shrimp and adjust the spice level by varying red pepper flakes.
