Description

A creamy, spicy pasta dish that combines tender spaghetti and succulent shrimp for a delicious weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 1 ½ pounds medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 ½ tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 teaspoons paprika
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 ½ teaspoons dried parsley
  • ⅔ cup light mayonnaise
  • ½ cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 2-3 additional cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • -¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the light mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, minced garlic, honey, sriracha sauce, lime juice, and red pepper flakes. Mix well to create the sauce and set it aside.
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to the package directions. Drain it, then return it to the pot and cover to keep warm.
  3. In a medium bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, paprika, black pepper, and the minced garlic. Ensure every shrimp is nicely coated.
  4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly until they turn pink and are fully cooked.
  5. Combine the cooked shrimp with the spaghetti in the pot, then add about two-thirds of your prepared sauce. Toss everything to combine thoroughly, and sprinkle with dried parsley.
  6. Serve with the remaining sauce on the side for an extra burst of flavor.

Notes

Use high-quality shrimp for the best flavor. Adjust the spiciness of the sauce to your preference.
