Description
A delightful shrimp pasta dish featuring a creamy sauce with a kick, perfect for summer evenings.
Ingredients
- 12 ounces of spaghetti
- 1 ½ pounds of medium shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1 ½ tablespoons of olive oil
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 3 teaspoons of paprika
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 ½ teaspoons of dried parsley
- ⅔ cup of light mayonnaise
- ½ cup of Thai sweet chili sauce
- 2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
- ½ tablespoons of honey
- 1 tablespoon of sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon of lime juice
- ⅛ to ¼ teaspoon of red pepper flakes
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix all the sauce ingredients together. Allow it to set aside, adjusting the sriracha sauce to your liking.
- Cook the spaghetti according to package directions. Drain the pasta, then return it to the pot and cover to keep warm.
- Place the shrimp in a medium bowl. Add olive oil, paprika, 3 cloves of minced garlic, and black pepper. Gently toss to coat the shrimp evenly.
- Heat a large skillet on medium-high heat and add the seasoned shrimp. Stir constantly while cooking until the shrimp are no longer pink, about 3-4 minutes.
- Once the shrimp are cooked, combine them with the spaghetti in the pot. Add ⅔ of the prepared sauce and toss well to coat. Top with dried parsley.
- Use the remaining sauce to drizzle over each portion before serving.
Notes
For best results, use fresh shrimp and serve immediately with extra sauce on the side.
