- vegetable oil cooking spray
- 8 (113 g) skinless salmon fillets
- 4 tablespoons (60 ml) unsalted butter
- 2 1/2 tablespoons (37.5 ml) fresh lemon juice
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly coat a baking dish with vegetable oil spray, then arrange the salmon fillets inside.
- Place the butter in a microwave-safe dish and heat it on high in 30-second bursts until it’s fully melted, taking about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Stir the lemon juice, salt, and black pepper into the melted butter, then drizzle this mixture over the salmon fillets.
- Cook in the preheated oven until the salmon flakes easily when tested with a fork, which should take between 12 and 18 minutes.
Notes
- Season each salmon fillet evenly with salt and pepper before drizzling with the lemon butter mixture for a well-balanced flavor. For a crispy finish, broil the salmon fillets for 2-3 minutes post-baking until golden brown. Add a touch of fresh dill or parsley on top of the cooked salmon for a burst of color and added freshness.
