Description

Indulge in the comforting flavors of East Coast shrimp rolls, featuring tender shrimp in a creamy dressing, nestled in toasted buttery rolls.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hot dog rolls or brioche rolls
  • Butter for toasting
  • Lettuce leaves (optional)
  • Chopped chives or celery (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a pot, boil shrimp until they are pink and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Drain and let cool.
  2. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Chop the cooled shrimp and fold it into the mayonnaise mixture.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and butter the rolls. Toast them until golden brown on both sides.
  5. If using, place lettuce leaves in the rolls and spoon the shrimp mixture on top.
  6. Garnish with chopped chives or celery if desired.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Chill the shrimp mixture for about 30 minutes for enhanced flavor.
