Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 tablespoons chili paste (adjust for heat)
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup crushed tomatoes
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the shrimp by rinsing under cold water and patting dry with paper towels.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic and chopped onion, sauté until translucent.
- Stir in chili paste, smoked paprika, ground cumin, and red pepper flakes.
- Pour in crushed tomatoes and chicken broth; bring to simmer.
- Add shrimp, cook until pink and opaque, about 5-7 minutes.
- Drizzle lime juice and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve garnished with fresh cilantro if desired.
Notes
